2. Ingredient selection & formulation
Raw materials and active ingredients that align with your desired capsule characteristics are selected—making sure to consider their pharmaceutical properties, and things like fillers, binders, and other factors. Somafina’s formulation experts develop a prototype or sample of the custom capsule—meeting your requirements for dosage, release profile, stability, and other critical attributes.
3. Sample testing
The sample capsule formulation is tested for disintegration time, dissolution rate, and overall product performance and adjustments are made as needed.
4. Quality control & testing
Quality control tests are conducted on raw materials to ensure that they meet specifications and in-process testing is performed to regularly monitor product quality during manufacturing.
5. Raw material sourcing
We source the highest-quality raw materials from reputable suppliers—verifying the ingredients’ purity through testing and certifications.
6. Capsule production
The raw materials are blended according to the approved formulation, then encapsulated using specialized equipment. Coating, an optional step, makes the capsules easier to swallow and can mask taste.
7. Full-run quality checks

8. Packaging & labeling
During liquid production, work can begin on the packaging design. Labels, graphics, and other branding elements are created and printing specifications are determined. The approved packaging is filled with the finished product then labels are applied. All necessary product information is included to meet regulatory requirements.
9. Final quality assurance
The final round of quality assurance checks is conducted; this ensures that the finished capsules meet all specifications and is defect-free.
10. Delivery & post-production
The finished product is prepared for distribution; it is securely packed and shipped as needed. Ongoing support in areas like inventory management, reorderings, and post-production is available upon request.
